Nvidia hopes to soar high ~ Atom faces competition

Nvidia’s Mobile Business Unit is ready with the all new Mobinnova model from Foxconn which is
using its "Tegra chip".
It is one of the 27 devices being built by different manufacturers,
most of the asian, over the next few months using Tegra.
Nvidia is best known for its graphics processors and Tegra excels
in rendering high-definition video as well as Flash animation.
The chip has a CPU, graphics, video and image processor and HDMI
capabilities on board..
Its graphics capabilities may help it outshine chips from other ARM
based companies like Qualcomm and freescale.
It seems to be, by far the most ultra-low-power definition comp on the planet.

atoms stand by power is 4-5 watts while that of Tegra is just 10s of microwatts.
well, this sure says it all about the dehydrated notebook, and, with the presence
of Tegra, the market share for atom may be no different...
Intel promises lower power versions of atom. But, they still remain as promise...
Tegra will offer a battery life between 10 to 20 hours at netbook price points of 100$ to 200$, which may well be subsidised
(w.r.t) mobile carriers,,,
it would sure proves to be quite a turnaround as business built on power hungry graphic card will be driven in future by a chip
as small as a dime.
